How ConvoTag Works
A plain explanation of what happens when you click the tagger.
What the tagger does
You click the tagger while in a Claude.ai conversation. A small prompt appears asking which symbol you want. You type a number. Hit OK. The conversation’s title gets the symbol prepended. The whole interaction takes about a second.
Where your tags live
After you’ve updated a title, your tags live in your Claude account. They become part of the conversation’s actual title — the same title you see in the sidebar, the same title that syncs across your devices, the same title that shows up in the mobile app.
This is why tags persist. They’re not stored by ConvoTag. We don’t have a database. We don’t have servers that hold your data. The tag is part of the conversation itself.
What happens if ConvoTag goes away
Your tags stay. They’re already in your Claude account. Uninstalling the tagger won’t remove existing tags.
What conversations ConvoTag has access to
None. ConvoTag has no embedded or integrated system into your Claude account. We don’t have analytics that track what you tag, no servers that hold your data, no way to look at your conversations. The only data we receive is what Stripe sends us when you buy: your email, one question about LLMs, and the fact that you purchased.
Vercel Analytics tracks anonymous page views on convotag.com (no cookies, no fingerprinting). It doesn’t touch the tagger or your Claude data.
